The Silver Jubliee of our community was on 19th March 2020. A mass was offered, however, due to the lock down, there was no celebration.
On 5th March 2020, the 2 Religious Sisters of our Community, Sr. Dolly and Sr. Sarika, conducted a prayer service during Lent.
Before the lock down, we started working on our cluster formation. We in St. Joseph's Community have a good networking policy where the Core Group members circulate all information to their clusters. The head of each cluster then passes on the information to all the families within their Cluster... information such as links to the various online Services being conducted by our Parish Fathers during this lockdown.
Regular contact is made with our community members through phone calls inquiring about their well being and if any needs are to be addressed. We are also helping some senior citizens by buying their essential provisions.
During this lockdown, since many have lost their sources of income, our Parish is distributing one meal a day to people not only from our parish but also those who are homeless. Members of our Community have contributed generously towards this cause.
