HISTORY OF THE COMMUNITY
 

The community of Our Lady of Fatima was formed by late Rev Fr. Suresh. At present we have 13 active members in our Core group. We are striving to get more members and youth to join the core group and to get more families involved in our community activity.

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED

 

  • We arranged for SVP aid for a deserving family from Peter Mansion. With the help of Mr. Oscar Noronha we had got her admitted in the hospital where she passed away on October 25, 2019. We made arrangements for her funeral and also the months mind mass. Unfortunately, her son is not in a proper frame of mind but still with the help of Mr. Ozzie we managed to get him jobs which he didn’t stick to.

  • We also attended to a sick person in Jacob Building and helped with her banking work. And we have been visiting her regularly.

  • We visited St. Catherine of Siena school & orphanage home at Bandra.

  • We visited the sick members of the community.

  • We conducted a community rosary.

  • We even visited homes of home bound. 

  • We conducted the way of the cross in the homes of the home bound.

  • We conducted newspaper drive.

  • We gave Christmas hampers for the home bound.
