The Holy Spirit Community began under the guidance of Bishop Bosco Penha. We started around 30 years ago as cluster groups, and later, about 25 years ago, we were formed into one large community... The Holy Spirit Community from St. John Zone. We celebrate our feast on Pentecost Sunday. Charity began at home with every member working towards the upliftment of the poor in the Community. Donation drives, visitation of the sick, visits to the old aged home, the clergy home and serving as Mother Teresa's red, white and yellow roses are some of the works done by our community over the years. Presently, we have taken up a cause and that is to fight against injustices to women. We donate generously to IJM (International Justice Mission) which fights for this cause. Every year we conduct rosaries, stations of the cross and help the families of deceased members of our community, by praying with the families and offering masses for the souls. Our Community has a representative in every Parish Organisation. Fun-filled programmes for the children and youth of our community and Christmas and Easter get togethers are some of the programs organised every year. Recently, we have started distributing gifts during Christmas and Easter to each and every family of our community. Special gifts are also given to the homebound members of our community. We have always been a close knit community under the guidance of our many Director Priests and presently, Fr. Ashwin Castellino.  May the Holy Spirit shower us with Blessings and fill us with Grace always.
