Parents and Grandparents Day Celebration
There’s just one word to be said about the recent online Parents and Grandparents Day celebrations here at St. Michael's parish. And that word is … AWESOME
Indeed we were awestruck to see the wonderful variety of entertainment performances put up for us. The performances revolve around the theme "The Circle of Life".
The program was tied together by Erin Pereira and Gabriel Barros, who did a superb job as Comperes. It was lovely to watch the children sing and dance for us. Young KadenDias stole our hearts with a poetry rendition on the theme. The Youth danced gracefully to the song- Circle of Life, put up a hilarious skit and some mind boggling creative art. The Confirmation youth bands put some rhythm into an already rocking show. But the highlight of the evening was a scintillating singing performance by our very own Parish Priests topped off by a fantastic solo by Fr. Ashwin.
Parents got in some exercise without being aware of it, in the form of a chair dance. Messages of love poured in for Parents. Lonely Grandparents were visited and this is the way forward to keep the family unit cherished… to respect and appreciate our parents and grandparents.
Dear Youth, you have left a legacy for the younger ones- an example to go all out to make your parents happy. Remember it’s the Circle of Life- And God will give back to you a hundred fold!
Kudos to all the participants and organisers for all the efforts put in and for making our Parents and Grandparents Day a huge success!
