Cyclothon

“The Journey is not about being first or last, but thoroughly being content with your efforts.”
On Sunday, 19th September 2021, St Michael's youth group organized a Cyclothon under
the guidance of Fr Ashwin.
All the participants were asked to meet at the start point at 6:30 am. Fr. Lancy prayed over us and blessed us with holy water. Our journey began from St. Michael’s Church, Mahim. We started at 7 am. All the participants took a small break at Carter Road, Bandra. From there onwards, everyone headed to the destination i.e. St Joseph's Church, Juhu, without any intervals. We reached our destination at around 8 am. Fr. Edwin Azavedo & Fr. Allwyn very warmly welcomed us all. They arranged delicious breakfast for us. They also accompanied us as we visited the church.
Malaika Vaz, the vice President of the youth council, presented them a portrait of our lady of perpetual succor, as a small token of appreciation. After we were done with the breakfast, we took a group picture. At 9 am we left St. Joseph’s church. We reached St. Michael's Church at 10 am. Fr.Ashwin, along with all the participants celebrated the Holy Eucharist in Michael Pace conference room after the Cyclothon.
Cyclothon was a great success, as the enjoyment, thrill, excitement amidst the exhaustion could be seen on the faces of the participants along the journey. We would like to thank Fr. Ashwin for such a great idea and also organizing the event. We would also like to thank all the volunteers who supported us throughout the journey.
