YOUTH COUNCIL

The Youth Council consists of young people aged 16 to 25 who represent their respective communities. The Youth Council functions as a separate entity focusing on building up the youth of the parish.

SENIOR CITIZENS
EVERGREEN CLUB 

This is the name of the Association that caters to the young at heart of our Parish. Any parishioner who has attained the age of 60 years can become a part of this Club.

INTER RELIGIOUS DIALOGUE

The Inter Religious Dialogue cell in the parish was formed in June 2015. Although four parishioners successfully completed the BIRD course early on, we were able to organise our first programme, Inter Religious Meet, only on 6 November 2016.

THE LEGION OF MARY

The role of the Legion of Mary in our parish is to make home visits, enthrone the Sacred Heart in homes, and conduct rosaries, holy hours, etc.

THE CIVIC & POLITICAL CELL

The Civic & Political Cell is part of an initiative undertaken after the 2001 Synod in the Mumbai Archdiocese. Cells were formed for specific areas which needed apostolic action.

HOPE & LIFE MOVEMENT

The Hope & Life Movement was started by Mrs Antoinette D’Souza who brought the movement from France to Mumbai. Our association has grown spiritually and has spread to nearly half the number of parishes of our diocese.

THE NEO-CATECHUMENAL WAY

Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and concurrent with Vatican II, the Neo-Catechumenal Way was started in Madrid in 1964 by Kiko Arguello and Carmen Hernandez.

WOMEN'S CELL

"Women, you are free!" - LK 13:12. This message of Jesus rings out loud and clear. That is why the Archdiocesan Women's Commission strongly believes in working for gender justice.

SOCIETY OF
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

The main activity of the SVP of our Parish is helping the poor by giving monthly rations. The SVP also has a mandatory obligation to aid the Aids Hospice and Leprosy Home in Kalyan

DEVELOPMENT CARING CELL

When the Parish formulated its Vision Statement, the Development Caring Cell (DCC) evolved along with various other cells and associations.

FAMILY CELL

The Family Cells visit homes in the parish and propagate the importance of building Christ-centric families

CHARISMATIC RENEWAL

The St Michael's Parish English prayer group (80-90 members), known as the Mother Of Perpetual Succour group, meets once a week in the church.

HEALTH MINISTRY

The clinic is open only to the poor of the parish.  Medicines prescribed by the attending doctors are dispensed from the clinic.

MARATHI SODALITY

The Marathi Sodality was initiated in 1950. Meetings are held every Monday at 05:30 p.m. The Rosary is recited followed by an input session.

BIBLE CELL

The objective of the Bible Cell is to understand the Word of God in the context in which it was written and its applicability to bear fruit in our times today.

GREEN CELL

In order to take steps towards reducing our carbon footprint, the Green Cell has been set up in our Parish. This cell, comprising enthusiastic and concerned environmentalists, has not only parishioners but also people of other faiths and backgrounds.

MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION CELL

The Communication Cell consists of 3 sub-groups - Communication Team, SMILE Team, Web Team.

ALTAR SERVERS

The altar servers attend training programmes and rallies regularly.  At the meetings they have quizzes and games which help them develop their knowledge of the Mass and the Catholic faith.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

What comes to your mind when you think of Sunday School?  Well...first of all Sunday morning...bright and early, a classroom full of happy children and zealous catechists!
